What to bring
A materials checklist and sourcing guide is attached to your booking confirmation email. Please review before the lessons to make sure you have everything you need! Any questions, please ask :)Briefly, you need one buntal straw mat, a quantity of Petersham ribbon, and trims such as flowers and feathers to decorate your hat. Hat blocks, wire and tools are supplied, although you are welcome to bring your own.

Hello milliners and crafters!Welcome to the world of the wonderful, creative and glamorous vintage craft that is millinery!I fell into millinery in the mid 80s... and have done almost everything... supplied shops and department stores, created runway hats and bespoke pieces for so many fashionable and famous people, owned my own exclusive hat boutique in Paddington for a decade.I have taught millinery at most of the leading fashion design schools, such as Whitehouse, and redesigned and taught the millinery courses at TAFE NSW over 8 years.I have also taught regularly at millinery conventions and private classes both in Australia and overseas. I have taught in Hong Kong, UK, Ireland, France, Spain, USA, Canada and New Zealand.I love passing on my skills and trouble shooting student designs! No one makes the same hat in my classes... you are there to create your own designs!I deliberately keep my classes small and intimate so you will have my full attention and instruction, promise :)
