Bloom and Sprinkles

Hi, I'm Janielle, the founder of Bloom & Sprinkles.Before starting Bloom & Sprinkles, I worked as an Occupational Therapist. One of the things I loved most about my profession was seeing how meaningful it is to create with our hands. Creative activities help us slow down, relax, reconnect with ourselves and, most importantly, connect with the people around us.That philosophy naturally found its way into my baking.To me, cakes are much more than dessert. They have a wonderful way of bringing people together. Whether you're decorating one with friends, celebrating a special occasion or sharing a slice with family, neighbours or colleagues, cake creates moments that people remember.I've taken cake decorating classes over the years and continue learning and experimenting with new techniques. My greatest inspiration comes from combining baking with creativity, making each workshop feel more like an art experience than a traditional decorating class.I love teaching because everyone arrives saying, "I'm not creative, " and almost everyone leaves surprised by what they've made. Watching people relax, laugh and gain confidence as they create something beautiful is the most rewarding part of what I do.At Bloom & Sprinkles, my goal isn't to teach people to become professional cake decorators. It's to create an experience where anyone can enjoy making something beautiful, regardless of their skill level.I can't wait to create with you.My favourite part of every workshop...Watching people stop worrying about getting it "right" and start enjoying the creative process. There's something special about seeing a table full of strangers become a group of people chatting, laughing and encouraging each other.Why I teach...Because I believe creativity has the power to bring people together. Few things do that as naturally as sharing a cake you've decorated yourself. It's more than a workshop—it's an experience you'll take home, enjoy with the people you love, and remember long after the last slice has been eaten.
