  • 5/5 from Becky Wright, attended Oct 2024: Fantastic class. Pauline was a great teacher. Very relaxed atmosphere. Great workshop space. Coffee and morning tea were delicious. The time just flew by, we could have gone on peacefully sewing for ages. Thanks Beck for a wonderful workshop.
  • 5/5 from Zaklina Todorovic, attended Oct 2024: Such a great class. Pauline was wonderful and I learned loads as a beginner. Great value too!
  • 5/5 from Allison Wong, attended Oct 2024: The teacher Pauline gave us enough new information & skills to partially complete a beautiful embroidery without overwhelming us with extraneous information. She generously gave us wool in the colours we were working with to finish our work. An amazing and relaxing morning activity.
  • 5/5 from Catherine Breene, attended Oct 2024: Well paced and pleasant instruction from a knowledgeable instructor. It was as advertised and materials were provided to take home. The space was not hot and was not cramped.
  • 5/5 from Sheela Alphonso, attended Jun 2024: As always, Made By Me provided a wonderful experience. The teacher/artist Pauline Franklyn lent her expertise and artistry and patiently taught (and in my case, RE taught!) the processes needed to create some beautiful boho embroidery. The venue was a cosy escape from the dreary, rainy world outside. High quality materials such as hand dyed yarns and beautiful linen as well as all other tools needed for the class were provided (including more than enough to take home to complete my project), along with valued information as to where to source materials after the class. I was in need of some creative nurturing after 2 very busy work weeks and this class was the perfect fit.
  • 5/5 from Eve Douglas, attended Jun 2024: The Made by Me workshop space looks great, with so many handmade items for sale [and inspiration for the other classes to attend!] Rebecca was wonderful host and greeted everyone warmly and was very welcoming. Pauline was wonderful as the textile artist that facilitated our Boho wool embroidery class - with helpful tips & tricks, craft stockists, a helpful sewing guide and an array of fabulous hand dyed wool for us to stitch with- she kept the group focused [not an easy task at all, with a large group of chatty women!] Her display embroidery examples and the discussion around the techniques uitilsed was very informative too!
  • 5/5 from Rachael Jane Wilkins, attended Jun 2024: Really enjoyed the Boho Floral Embroidery class with Pauline! Learned a lot and love the beautiful colourful pieces we’ve made!
  • 5/5 from Sarah Bellon, attended Jun 2024: Pauline is a star! She was very friendly and helpful. The venue was noce and airy and parking was not much of a problem. Pauline was rather generous in providing us with the materials and where we can purchase them. Ilearned a couple of new stitches as well. I just love making the flowers.
  • 5/5 from Lyndsey Long, attended Jun 2024: The class, teacher and venue were really great. I loved getting to know some of the other women. The class works for people at different levels. I am a complete beginner to embroidery. I can now confidently work with 5 stitches, and the last two days at home I am really enjoying continuing with my piece and feel confident I can complete it.
  • 5/5 from Skye Migan, attended Jun 2024: Awesome class! Learn a lot and was able to take home throngs to finish it puff
  • 5/5 from Lori Field, attended Jun 2024: Teacher was wonderful. Very patient and inspiring. Learning new skills along with others was a lot of fun.
  • 5/5 from Nikki Fox, attended Sep 2023: The teacher Pauline Franklyn was wonderful. She explained things that made them feel simple to follow. The venue was beautiful with great light. Also loved the morning tea provided.
  • 5/5 from Bhavika, attended Sep 2023: This was a fun class with a great vibe and great instructions! Really enjoyed it :)
  • 5/5 from Sarah Roxburgh, attended Sep 2023: Mum and I absolutely loved this class. Pauline was wonderful. She clearly taught the different stitches required and although mum and I both have lots of experience with embroidery and knew how to do them, Pauline and her work gave us lots of inspiration and ideas. She also gave us some good tips for suppliers, which we will be using. We went home with a good supply of materials to complete our work. She had heaps of coloured wools to choose from so you could go in your own direction. Everyone's work was so different due to the huge amount of choice. Rebecca was delightful and her studio space is beautiful. It was our first time there and we will be back for more workshops. She is warm and inviting. The price was great so it is viable to do more workshops there. Yummy brownies too!
  • 5/5 from Leanda Howell, attended Sep 2023: Wonderful class within great creative surroundings. The teacher was knowledgeable and helped everyone from beginner to experienced. Would definitely recommend.
  • 5/5 from Justine Egan, attended Sep 2023: Great teacher and project to finish at home. Suited beginners and more advanced people. Terrific!

Made by Me Workshop is about helping people to connect with their "inner creative" and have some fun while making beautiful things from quality materials in our friendly & vibrant studio space in the heart of the inner west!
Established in 2017 after Rebecca Doyle decided to take a career break and chose to revisit her childhood love for arts & crafts. Rebecca grew up in a large family where money was tight, after school activities where mostly homegrown and usually involved a sheet of cardboard, a glue stick and some glitter! It is probably no surprise to learn that Rebecca followed a creative path to study Fashion & Textile Design at University!
After a few more decades (than Rebecca will publicly admit to) and a long and varied career in the fashion industry, Rebecca wanted to get back to creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind objects - Made By Me Workshop is the result of where this path led.
Rebecca loves that moment of pride that comes over each participant's face when they look at what they have created and say to themselves "Wow - I made this & I love it!"
Made by Me Workshop run a variety of creative workshops, hen’s parties, private parties and corporate events from their warehouse space in St Peters including Resin Art, Resin Jewellery & Mould Making, Soap Making, Terrazzo Homewares, Punch Needle, Macrame and many more.
