Step into a calming plant experience in Crows Nest and learn how to create your own Japanese kokedama, a beautiful moss ball plant that brings nature into your home.
In this hands-on workshop, you will be guided step-by-step through shaping the soil, wrapping sphagnum moss, and binding your plant into a balanced living artwork. No experience is needed; you will learn everything in a relaxed and supportive environment.
More than just a craft class, this workshop offers you a chance to slow down and reconnect with nature. Working with plants can be grounding, mindful, and deeply therapeutic. You will leave not only with a handcrafted kokedama but also with a meaningful pause in your busy week, a gentle moment of self-care that you can carry into your everyday life.
Hosted by Becky of BotaniBec, a florist with more than 10 years of experience, this session blends professional technique with a nurturing, slow-living approach.

I’m Becky, a florist with over 10 years of experience, having run my own flower shop and worked extensively with flowers and plants.
Over time, I realized something deeper — nature isn’t just decorative, it has a quiet healing power. When we work with flowers or plants using our hands, something shifts within us.
That realization became the turning point that led me to start BotaniBec, where I now specialize in plant art and host seasonal and community workshops, including council events and private group sessions.
In my workshops, I don’t just teach techniques, I create a space for you to slow down and enjoy the present moment. You won’t feel rushed, and you’ll have the opportunity to gently reset from busy daily life.
Whether you're joining for the first time or looking to refine your skills, you can expect a structured, professional and thoughtfully curated experience.
I look forward to creating with you.
Becky
