1. Welcome and Inspiration
We’ll kick things off with a warm welcome and a burst of creativity. You’ll meet fellow participants, see inspiring examples of upcycled fashion, and hear how simple tweaks can turn tired clothes into statement pieces.
2. Step 2: Garment Selection and Idea Sketching
Bring 1–2 garments you’d love to transform—anything from jeans and shirts to dresses or jackets. We’ll guide you through assessing each item’s potential and help you sketch out your redesign ideas. Not confident in drawing? No worries—we have templates and visual guides to help you plan your masterpiece.
3. Learn Key Techniques
Time to build your toolkit! Our instructor will demo simple but powerful techniques like:
- Hand-stitching and basic sewing
- Adding patches, trims, or embellishments
- Fabric painting or dyeing
4. Hands-On Redesign Time
Now the fun begins! You’ll work on your garment using the tools and materials provided. Whether you're sewing, painting, or reconstructing, you’ll have guidance and support throughout. This is your chance to experiment, ask questions, and bring your vision to life.
5. Style and Finish
You will complete some final touches like hemming, fitting and ironing. A fun extra option is to photograph your creation for our gallery!
