What you'll do

Have you always wanted to find a way to preserve those special flowers of yours that you can't bring yourself to throw away? Try this pressed-flower ceramic-making class with Bustle Studios in Sydney where you can learn the basics of clay moulding and immortalise those special flowers and memories.

In this two-hour hands-on class, you will be guided through the clay making process by an experienced ceramicist. You will learn some basic hand moulding techniques to be able to create your own small dishes and bowls that you can use as jewellery holders.

You will get to press flowers and plants into your ceramic pieces (or even leave them in the moulds if you wish) before they are bisque fired and then glazed.

This ceramic workshop in Sydney is a fantastic way to learn some new clay moulding skills in a fun and relaxed environment. Not only will you walk away feeling confident in your skills, but also with a range of new ceramic dishes and bowls to take home too.

Spend some time with loved ones making objects from scratch, it'll be sure to bring your inner creative to the surface!

Kaila Perusco is a born maker. Having worked on craft projects & workshops for the likes of Frankie, City of Sydney and Splendour in the Grass, Kaila turned her attention to clay and never looked back. Since getting her diploma of ceramics, Kaila has been teaching clay handbuilding classes for over 4 years. She is passionate about finding the creative that lurks in everyone.
