I’ve taught pottery for many years in Sydney, at TAFE, community colleges and after school lessons. I decided to set up my large studio at Oatley next to my house so I could run pottery classes and bring the excitement and creative fun of making pottery to more people. The studio has been equipped with wheels, kilns, slab rollers and glazes. Teaching is a joy because I love to see people fall in love with their own unique creations and get so much pleasure from pottery. I have many qualifications in pottery including a Diploma of Ceramics from TAFE, a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours from the National Art School and a Masters and PhD in ceramics from Sydney College of the Arts (Sydney University). I have won many awards, including 1st prize at the Royal Easter Show in 2024, and my work has been featured in the Lark Crafts’ 500 Prints on Clay.
