What you'll do

Guided by friendly expert and self-taught cook Benetta, you'll get hands-on with a range of classic ingredients and make three easy recipes from scratch. You'll learn a range of traditional cooking techniques and discover flavour combinations that you never knew existed. Get creative in the kitchen and learn about Pakistani cuisine and all that it has to offer!
On the menu:
- Kachori with Aaloo Tarkari, a spicy deep-fried snack stuffed with lentils
- Chicken Yakhni Pilau (the Paella of Pakistan), a rice dish cooked in stock with spices, meat and vegetables
- Gulab Jamun, a bite-sized berry sweet, submersed in rose flavoured syrup.

I am a Pakistani migrant living in Perth, Australia and I love everything about this city and the people here. I work for a landscaping supplies company in their Business Development team and have previous experience of being in the Human Resources field.
Cooking for me has always been my getaway - my magical carpet that would take me to the streets of Karachi and remind me of the spicy, aromatic and flavourful food.
My husband and I run a Kebab Shop in Perth by the name of Angry Chicken and both of us have introduced some authentic Pakistani Boti Tikkas, Paratha Rolls and the infamous Karachi Deghi Biryani (a crowd favourite).
My family and I love our Desi food and it is something that we will always savour and be proud of!
