Q: Can you tell me more about how it works? Also is any food provided or the host provides all party snacks and cake etc?
A: Birthday parties can be for any theme you wish – for example, I am doing a space party, mermaid, unicorn, even a Friday Kahlo party!
Kids arrive, we settle in perhaps with an art game, then the project that takes about 1.5 hours and then cake. 2 hour party, which I find is plenty. I don’t encourage too much food; a few snacks is ok but really, the kids get so involved in the project, it really isn’t necessary.
The other thing a parent is doing is booking a table in the restaurant next door for the parents to go to for a glass of wine or a coffee – that way they can drop off and pick up altogether. Or, some parents car pool and share the drop off/pick up.

A: Adults & 5+ years. Adult accompaniment is not required.

You decide what type of party, whether it be sewing, painting, pottery or weaving. Maybe the theme is unicorns, pirates, mermaids or even astronauts! The options are endless.

As an artist and designer, Prue Burnstein has a background in children's fashion and was the baby and children's wear designer for iconic aussie brand "Bonds". She also ran her own successful children's wear business, Billy Duck for a number of years.
Prue has created Paper Rock Scissors Art Studio as a creative outlet for herself as well as providing a space for the community around her.
