It's the most awaited time of the year. Join us for this hands-on cricut class and learn how to make a truly festive plate!
Yes, it's Christmas! And we all want Santa to stop by our place. For that reason, we go above and beyond in our ways of inviting him with fancy decorations and yummy food. Our very own Christmas Eve plate has a place for cookies, his favourite drink, and also a carrot for reindeer.
You may have brought such a plate from shops all your life but have you ever known that you could make one all by yourself?
It's not as difficult to make a Christmas Eve plate with your personalised family name as it may seem at the outset. In this workshop, Vishakha will generously share her Cricut Maker 3 to make vinyl designs and labels and work with you very closely to help you make your special Santa plate.
Class outline:
- Understand the material; permanent glossy adhesive vinyl of various colours, transfer tape, weeding tools etc
- Personalize Santa Plate SVG with your family names in Cricut Design Space
- How to work with layering to cut different coloured vinyls
- Print and cut vinyls labels using Cricut Maker 3
- Weed and transfer your labels to Transfer tape to make them ready for sticking on the plate
- How to stick vinyl labels layer by layer to complete sticking the design on the plate
That's it. Your Santa place is ready to be used or take pictures with straightaway. No curing is required.

I have always had that intuitive urge to 'create' something with a purpose: a new vegetarian recipe, a cake that would still be calorie-friendly, a soap that would nourish my skin with essential oils, a paining that would tell a story of my childhood, a candle that would smell divine?
By day, I am a fulltime ICT Professional helping product teams build great software applications that deliver an awesome User experience. In my moonlight hours and occasionally on weekends, I enjoy this experience of facilitating crafts workshops at my adorable apartment thereby follow my own passion (thank God I found a way), do what I love (or else no point yea), exercise my entrepreneurial skills (or at least I would think so), stay emotionally healthy (this one is real), meet new people (when Sydney reportedly is world's 3rd worst city to make new friends), and do my bit of promoting mental health.
