What you'll do
Grab your favourite brew of tea or a glass of wine and join Heidi for an hour and a half of drawing to wind down after your week.
This Zentangle online session will help detangle stress in your life by exploring one or two tangle patterns and create a piece of art.
Even if you're a beginner, we will explore new patterns slowly to gradually build your confidence, discovering the joy of tangling along the way. Lose yourself in the process as you create intricate and mesmerising designs, allowing your mind to focus and your worries to fade away.
During the session, you will have the opportunity to combine what you know and what you have learned into a piece of art that truly reflects your own style and personality. What ever beverage you choose to accompany your drawing, this activity is the perfect way to unwind after a long week and embrace the therapeutic power of art.
So, grab your sketchbook, your favourite beverage, and join Heidi for a transformative experience, where you will learn new techniques, and create beautiful artwork that will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Knowledge required
It would be beneficial to have the Introduction to Zentangle class under your belt but it is not necessary.
What to bring
- Bring your enthusiasm and curiosity!
- Use what ever materials you have handy but the bare minimum would be a fine liner pen in black, a graphite or HB pencil, a blender (we use tortillions) and paper of any type. An email is sent out on the Wednesday prior to advise what we will be doing and the materials needed.
Your teacher
I wanted to be an artist practically all my life but had lived a very logic brained existence as a BAS Agent/Bookkeeper amongst other similar roles. I ran my own business for sixteen years but lock downs (in Melbourne) created a very different work life for me. I worked harder than ever, because I became a key support for my clients through all the ups and downs of Government assistance. It actually wore me out. BUT, I discovered the Zentangle® Method early on in 2021 and became obsessed.
I had no formal art training, knew nothing of media or styles and to be honest, I didn't really think I had any talent. I could draw a pretty good doodle tree but that was it. Then one day when I was learning how to do bullet journalling, I stumbled on Zentangle and instantly fell in love. Here was a drawing method I could follow, easily, and wow! I actually created art. I had finally found something that satisfied my creative need and also helped me keep my cool while we battled the Covid phenomenon.
I was so inspired by the community I became part of I headed off to Newport, Rhode Island in 2023 to become qualified to teach this method. Now I am a Certified Zentangle® Teacher who is very excited to share this incredible art form and method with anyone who will sit still long enough with me to learn.
