Looking for creative ways to find your inner artist? Join this DIY resin art class and learn how to make a stunning ocean beach resin tray in just a few short hours.

The resin that your craft kit will contain is Art Resin which is the right fit for the purpose - the highest quality, non-toxic, no VOC, doesn't turn yellow and most importantly food grade. So the ocean tray that you will be making in the class will be ready to be used as a food serving tray straightaway when next you have friends over. Oh yes, you also got something ready to talk about and flaunt your creativity!

Friendly expert Vishakha will guide you through the journey of making your own sandy ocean beach under resin and show you the step-by-step process of how to work with different materials to create a your resin artwork. Lose yourself in the creative process and use different figurines to make your sandy beach tray even more unique!

In this workshop you will be guided by an experienced instructor on:

  • How to work with Resin safely
  • What bases to work on: canvas, wood, plywood
  • How much is the right amount (no less no more) of Resin to cover up your base
  • Get your plywood board ready for resin
  • Coloring and Mixing
  • Pouring (Direct vs Dirty Pour)
  • How to get the best looking ocean waves
  • Tips on how to use a hair dryer, heat gun and torch
  • Ways to give your piece some character: working with sand, sea shells, pebbles and miniature figurines

At the end of this online class, you can hang your ocean beach tray on a wall (for it is already framed) or use it as a food serving or decoration tray (for resin is food safe) or gift to a loved one (you know it)!

You will also be provided with Digital Booklet describing key points to work with Resin for your future reference so that you can be in the moment while in the workshop without having to worry about taking notes.

Whether you want to try something new or find gift experiences for keen creatives, this virtual resin art workshop will leave you feeling fulfilled and confident in your newfound skillset!

I have always had that intuitive urge to 'create' something with a purpose: a new vegetarian recipe, a cake that would still be calorie-friendly, a soap that would nourish my skin with essential oils, a paining that would tell a story of my childhood, a candle that would smell divine?

By day, I am a fulltime ICT Professional helping product teams build great software applications that deliver an awesome User experience. In my moonlight hours and occasionally on weekends, I enjoy this experience of facilitating crafts workshops at my adorable apartment thereby follow my own passion (thank God I found a way), do what I love (or else no point yea), exercise my entrepreneurial skills (or at least I would think so), stay emotionally healthy (this one is real), meet new people (when Sydney reportedly is world's 3rd worst city to make new friends), and do my bit of promoting mental health.

In my journey of hosting the picnics, cooking, baking, fitness and crafts experiences in Sydney, I have come across a range of creative people, many of whom discovered things to be a fun hobby and some who have taken it further and started selling stuff online.

My pursuit of the little joys of life continues as I look forward to share these experiences with you!
