Face Value

Hi, I'm Sophie, the founder of Face Value and a qualified makeup artist with a BA(Hons) degree in Makeup & Hair Design.My love for makeup started long before my formal training. When I was a teenager, I could happily spend hours in front of the mirror experimenting, playing with colours and creating all sorts of crazy looks. After graduating in 2018, I spent several years travelling, and makeup took a bit of a back seat. Over time, I found myself missing that creative outlet and the joy of sharing it with others.Face Value grew from that feeling, along with a desire to create something that brings women together. Having moved away from friends and experienced the ups and downs of making new connections, I know how special it can be to find your people. I wanted to create a space where women can learn something new, have a laugh with new friends, and leave feeling a little more confident.My teaching style is relaxed, friendly and down-to-earth. I want makeup to feel fun and accessible, not intimidating or full of rules. Whether you're a complete beginner or already have a makeup routine you love, there's always something new to discover. I'm a big believer that there's always more to learn, and I'm constantly inspired by the creativity and techniques I see from other makeup artists.Through Face Value, I hope to share my love of makeup in a way that goes beyond the mirror. My goal is for you to leave with new skills, a few fresh ideas, and hopefully some lovely new connections too.
