What you'll do
Flower crowns have adorned the heads of many historical figures since ancient times and were very much a key accessory for parties and festival attire. For the Goddess of flowers, Flora, a botanical crown was a must-have!
This fun workshop will have you creating a beautiful flower crown of your own, something that perhaps Flora might even envy. Come together with a group of friends to learn an easy technique to create a DIY flower crown while enjoying some laughs, and if you choose, a glass of sparkling wine or a gin and tonic.
No prior experience is needed, this workshop is perfect for beginners as you'll have an expert florist to help guide you through the process. Your crown will be finished off with a beautiful satin ribbon and ready for whatever festivities await.
You choose the location (your home or a pre-arranged venue) and your teacher Kris will come to you with fresh seasonal flowers and all of the materials required to create a crown. You also have the option of adding sparkling wine or Poor Toms gin and tonics.

What you'll get
A selection of fresh florals, wire and florist tape, ribbon, and florists scissors will all be provided for use to create a beautiful crown. All attendees will take a finished crown home with them at the end of the class.

Kris McKee Floral Design is an independent florist based in the Inner West of Sydney. With a strong focus on creating products that are both beautiful and original, I aim to design and produce floral arrangements that bring joy.
Having nursed for almost 20 years, I decided it was time to finally listen to that inner voice screaming at me to be creative and pursue a long-awaited goal to build my own business doing something that brings me personal joy, so I studied floristry and then started my own business.
With a long history of health teaching, I now turn my skills toward flowers and helping others create beauty while having a whole lot of fun!
