Floristry classes in Adelaide
Flower arranging short courses aren’t just for the serious floristry buffs. Adelaide has a growing range of floristry classes to suit any and all levels of enthusiasm and experience. Our casual flower arranging workshops can give you a real insight into building a beautiful flower bouquet from home using a variety of native plants and flora. If you’re looking for things to do in Adelaide that’ll take your floristry skills to a professional level, ClassBento has more intensive workshops to help you really gain a deeper understanding of what it takes to not just design a flower bouquet, but get into the business of floristry.
Terrarium classes in Adelaide
An incredibly striking visual feature in any room; learning how to make a terrarium offers you more than just a pretty plant bowl. By discovering the importance of soil composition, water levels, and all the ins and outs of a mini-ecosystem, the knowledge you learn from creating a bottled or closed terrarium is applicable across nearly every aspect of gardening. Not only this, but terrarium classes make for fantastic team building activities and birthday party ideas, if you’re looking for things to do in Adelaide that are engaging and relaxing.
Kokedama classes in Adelaide
Much like Ikebana, kokedama workshops are a traditional Japanese botanical technique that fuses natural elements and materials with an inventive and original aesthetic that is uniquely Japanese. Kokedama is the technique of wrapping a small plant (often a succulent) in a ball of moss and twine, thereby dismissing the need for a pot, making it a beautiful indoor and outdoor plant choice! Japanese moss ball plants have gained increasing popularity recently, and kokedama craft classes make for one of the most unique experiences Adelaide has to offer.
Gardening classes in Adelaide
We all know someone who is an avid gardener, but that’s because when you learn how to garden, it can be hard to stop. Learning how to build a garden bed and grow your own herbs and vegetables is incredibly rewarding, and a wonderful step in living a more sustainable life. If you’re fortunate enough to live with space for a garden, our gardening workshops and horticulture courses are an ideal entry point into the world of gardening, and can help you build your own sustainable garden at home.
Health benefits of flowers and plants
Engaging with the natural world has been found to play a crucial role in an individual’s happiness. By working with flowers and plants, you can actively reduce your blood pressure, thereby lowering your risk of a heart attack or stress breakdown. Not only this, but soil contains a good bacteria called M. Vaccae, which when inhaled, boosts serotonin levels and reduce your anxiety. A nice added bonus to all these benefits is that gardening classes are mostly outdoors, allowing you to have a higher vitamin D intake. If you’re learning how to grow herbs and veggies from home, you can also have more control over your diet and caloric intake, perfect if you’re looking for things to do in Adelaide that can help you live a healthier lifestyle.
Custom classes
Want to learn or experience something specific? You can easily contact our teachers and arrange a custom workshop at your preferred time and to suit your skill level.
If you’re looking for a unique and memorable event these workshops are perfect things to do with friends on the weekend, for aged care groups, team building exercises, indoor things to do, and kids weekend activities. We've got a range of teachers who cater specifically to larger events, and we can customise classes to meet your needs. Get in touch today and we'll put something together for you.
