What you'll do
This workshop is super fun and easy to follow! You don't need to be 'creative' or have any prior skills, just a willingness to want to have fun and enjoy the experience. Don't worry though you won't just have a good time but you will also be walking away with something you are proud to hang up in your home. Come join this special fluid art workshop in Sydney!
Guided by experienced multi mixed-media art teacher Chelsey Teale, You will learn all the tips and tricks for dipping your toe into fluid art.
This workshop is suitable for those who are beginners and is absolutely stress free. Embrace the mess! We're mixing it up and you will be leaving the workshop with not one but TWO different kinds of art to show off!
You will make:
- 30cm round or square Acrylic pour painting
- Two 8cm resin coasters with alcohol inks
What you will learn:
- What resin is and how to safely work with it
- How to properly mix your resin and acrylic paint
- Different pouring mediums and how to create cells/lacing
- What kind of colours to use
- Techniques and steps you need to take to create your artwork
- Alcohol ink and the effects when mixed with resin
Please note:
- Very flexible with dates and time. If I don't have the day you want listed just send Chelsey a request and we can lock you in!
- It can get a bit messy so don't dress to impress and you will be supplied with gloves on the day. Your boards and coasters will need 24 - 48 hours to dry, so you will need to collect your pieces with in the following days. Postage can be arranged for an additional charge of $18

Knowledge required
Suitable for both beginners and intermediate artists.
What you'll get
- Each participant will receive an 30cm stretched canvas and two 8cm resin coasters.
- You will be provided with all the materials including resin, pigments, paint, canvas and alcohol inks to create your pieces.
- You will also be given a link to download an E-Resin Guide so you can relax in the class and not worry about taking notes
What to bring
- Just a smile and a good attitude! Everything else will be provided.
- If you're worried about getting it on your clothes you're welcome to bring an apron from home
- If you wish to bring some wine and nibbles please feel free to do so, glasses and boards can be provided.

Chelsey Teale is an Australian based artist currently living in Sydney, originally born and raised in California. Chelsey has been creating mixed media art in an attempt to capture a sense of flow and movement within her paintings. Her current work would fall under abstract expressionism mixed in with minimalism. Specialising in non-traditional painting methods and straying away from using any strict guidelines on how the paintings should turn out, rather trusting the movement and flow of the medium. Her approach to her art is completely intuitive and comes from within, which makes her pieces feel authentic and original.
