  • 5/5 from Sarah Tresidder, attended Nov 2025: This class was hugely enjoyable and satisfying, as there was no time for procrastination and overthinking - as we needed to work quickly to pull prints before the paints dried out. There is an endless array of results with gel printing and no result is ever the same. We were all so productive - I ended up with over 40 A5 prints in a morning’s work and Sophie was constantly encouraging us to try new ideas and use different materials. Sophie’s own workbooks were so inspiring where she had combined her prints into wonderful collages. I would definitely do this class again as there was such a lovely, friendly atmosphere and a positive energy!
  • 5/5 from Kay Nelson, attended Nov 2025: I really enjoyed this class, such a cool and authentic art/craft space. Sophie was very knowledgeable and friendly. We all created wonderful prints, it’s easy and satisfyingly experimental process with plenty of time to get the hang of things.
  • 5/5 from Moana Amoa, attended Apr 2025: I absolutely loved this geli print class hosted by Sophie of #scoopsdesign!! Do yourself a favour and book yourself a spot in one of Sophie's classes you will love it!
  • 5/5 from Michelle Schumann, attended Apr 2025: Great class - fun vibe with a knowledgeable teacher. Everyone enjoyed the opportunity to experiment with a variety of provided resources- highly recommended. Michelle
  • 5/5 from Cc Williams, attended Dec 2024: I really enjoyed this workshop. First, it is a beautiful space to be creative in. The teacher, Sophie, was easygoing and thorough. The art form itself is not too difficult and is more about experimentation, arrangement, layering, and colour, so it is quite relaxing. The two hours blew past. I would definitely do another workshop in this space and with the same teacher again.
  • 5/5 from Judy King, attended Dec 2024: Thank you for a fun morning gel printing, lots of inspiration and tips from Sophie and a great space to work in
  • 5/5 from Mags Sheridan, attended Jun 2024: Sophie led us through different methods of printing with the gel plate. First she showed demonstrations of her own prints then the lesson and plenty of time for doing it ourselves. We had many colours of paint to choose from. There was a giant selection of beautiful hand-cut stencils for us to use. She also provided a huge selection of coloured and interesting papers. As a complete beginner I was surprised that I could make things that looked good and have so much fun doing it. The materials provided were great and arranged with plenty of room for each person to work. I'll definitely be back!
  • 5/5 from Jo Lewthwaite, attended Jun 2024: I thoroughly enjoyed the Gel Print workshop with Sophie this weekend. There was a plentiful supply of papers, paints, stencils, rollers … all materials needs to explore this technique. Sophie showed us some great inspirational material/prints that she’d produced, she demonstrated everything clearly and was readily at hand throughout the workshop, to offer advice, encouragement and her expertise. We all had the opportunity to test a range of techniques… printing, overprinting, using natural materials well as stencils and stamps, creating print transfers from photocopied images. The 2.5hr course duration was perfect to explore and trial the use of this print media. Highly recommend the course and the workshop space overall was beautifully laid out.
  • 5/5 from Lily G, attended Jun 2024: I recently attended a Gel Plate Printing Workshop instructed by Sophie at Made By Me Workshops, and it was a wonderful experience. Having taken a class with Sophie before, I knew we were in good hands. She was patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly enthusiastic, making the workshop accessible and enjoyable for everyone. The venue, Made By Me Workshop, was charming and inspiring, providing the perfect environment for creativity. All necessary materials were provided, allowing us to dive into the process without any hassle. We learned the basics of gel plate printing, experimented with various techniques, and created many unique prints to take home. The workshop was excellent value for money, covering all materials and expert instruction for the two and half hours of creative exploration. What I enjoyed most was the freedom to experiment in a supportive environment and the satisfaction of seeing my prints come to life. Sophie’s encouraging approach and the well-organised setup made for a memorable and inspiring couple of hours. I highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking to explore their artistic side or simply enjoy a fun and creative activity.
  • 5/5 from Mathew Hrycyk, attended Jun 2024: The creative class teacher. Was very good at her own methods teaching. Very standard good instructions to simply follow. So it was something new to do on a Sunday at the St Peters area. The environment had a good lot of space to move around. Great. Creativity expression.

Made by Me Workshop is about helping people to connect with their "inner creative" and have some fun while making beautiful things from quality materials in our friendly & vibrant studio space in the heart of the inner west!
Established in 2017 after Rebecca Doyle decided to take a career break and chose to revisit her childhood love for arts & crafts. Rebecca grew up in a large family where money was tight, after school activities where mostly homegrown and usually involved a sheet of cardboard, a glue stick and some glitter! It is probably no surprise to learn that Rebecca followed a creative path to study Fashion & Textile Design at University!
After a few more decades (than Rebecca will publicly admit to) and a long and varied career in the fashion industry, Rebecca wanted to get back to creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind objects - Made By Me Workshop is the result of where this path led.
Rebecca loves that moment of pride that comes over each participant's face when they look at what they have created and say to themselves "Wow - I made this & I love it!"
Made by Me Workshop run a variety of creative workshops, hen’s parties, private parties and corporate events from their warehouse space in St Peters including Resin Art, Resin Jewellery & Mould Making, Soap Making, Terrazzo Homewares, Punch Needle, Macrame and many more.
