What you'll do
Bring some zen and elegance to your surroundings by hand making a beautiful gem tree with the use of crystals unique to you, in this relaxing Canberra workshop.
Gem trees are decorative miniature trees that are made of gemstones or crystals. You will get to create your own gem tree by using the crystals that call to you to help you solve a challenge in your life.
For those who have some understanding of crystals or gemstones, it is known that they have different properties that attract or radiate positive energy. For example, Rose Quartz is known as the crystal for universal love and Citrine helps bring wealth and success. In this workshop, Anna will walk you through all the different properties of the crystals to help you create a personalised, meaningful gem tree.
Your gem tree will add value and create happiness in your life. The energy of a gem tree is one of free-flowing abundance, which is why it is a traditional feng shui application.

Knowledge Required
Looking at a gem tree, you would think that they are difficult to make. But it is not hard at all and no special skills or talent is required. If you can twist a wire, then you are all set!
What you'll get
- You will go home with a handmade personalised gem tree, knowledge about crystals and some wire skills.
- Enjoy tea or coffee as you create and biscuits by Pop Canberra maker Happy B. Honey.
What to bring
- All materials are supplied.
- We will supply safety goggles, but please bring glasses if you would prefer to wear your own.
Suitable for
This is a fun indoor activity, suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 14 years old). An adult must accompany any attending kids. The adult may observe at the class for free.

I started my business Anna’s Crystal Creations making chakra bracelets because I could not find anything I liked in the market. I started selling the bracelets to friends but they would ask for a little tweak, for example, I changed some of the crystals to help them with a challenge they are currently experiencing like anxiety.
The business then grew to making customised crystal bracelets. Then someone asked if I make gem trees. My reply was not at the moment but I will have a go. The first gem tree was a success so that became a product line. I was then asked to show people how to make a gem tree at a retreat I attendedand they enjoyed it and asked for more.
I have run a few gem tree workshops now and everyone is saying that it is so therapeutic and that they did not realise that they can make something so pretty. I now enjoy teaching people how to make gem trees to help with stress and to brighten up their day.
