What you'll do

Step up to the still and create a gin bottle that’s uniquely you.

The three-hour session includes:

A welcome drink on arrival
A guided gin tasting exploring different botanicals
Crafting your own gin on a 2.5-litre still with personally selected botanicals
Bottling 500mLs of your uniquely crafted gin with a custom label to take home and savour
The finale - sit and relax with a drink made with your own gin, accompanied by a selection of locally made cheeses

Choose your experience:

1. Distilling Solo – $185 per person

Perfect for you if you like doing things your way. You’ll be distilling on your own dedicated copper still with full creative control.

2. Distilling Duo – $235 for two people

Love working together? Then this one is for you and your friend. You’ll share a traditional copper still to create a custom gin. A fun, collaborative experience for partners, friends or family.

By the end of the class, you can take home your own bottle of gin to keep for yourself or share with loved ones!

Note: The session is limited to six stills. Those who choose the Distilling Duo option will work on the same still and receive a 500ml bottle of their bespoke gin to share. All participants must be 18 years or older.

Please note: Public dates for this class require at least 2 guests to run. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we'll cancel the class; in this case we'll inform you and allow you to get a refund or reschedule, so please watch your email/SMS one day prior to the class.

What you'll get

Those who choose the Distilling Solo option will receive a 500mL bottle of their bespoke gin to take home. Those who choose the Distilling Duo option will work on the same still and receive a 500ml bottle of their bespoke gin to share.

We are Ballarat’s oldest modern-day distillery - the first to operate on the Victorian goldfields since the 1930s.

We’ve been crafting award-winning spirits of distinction since 2016, with our roots in Scotland and a love for whisky that runs deep. A trip to England sparked the idea for our vapour-infused gin, and Larrikin Gin became an instant favourite.

After years of patiently waiting, 2024 saw the launch of our whisky – worth every minute of that gold(fields) aging process.

As a small family business we are proud of our growth and expansion, employing local staff and obtaining recognition for our spirits on the world stage. Having fun is part of our identity and we love to share the true-blue Australian larrikin spirit far and wide as well as in our hometown.
