At Clayora Studio, we believe pottery is about more than simply making an object. It is about enjoying the process — feeling the clay between your hands, becoming absorbed in the moment, and giving yourself permission to create without perfection.
In this relaxed, beginner-friendly hand-building workshop, you’ll be guided through the fundamentals of working with clay and create your own handmade ceramic piece.
What you’ll experience:
You’ll learn simple hand-building techniques and use your hands and basic pottery tools to shape and decorate your creation. Depending on the project, you may explore techniques such as pinching, coiling, slab building, texturing, and surface decoration.
No previous pottery experience is required. Whether you are completely new to clay or simply looking for a creative experience, you’ll be guided step by step.
What’s included:
  • All clay required for the workshop
  • Use of studio tools, textures, stamps, and selected moulds
  • Protective apron
  • Step-by-step guidance from your instructor
  • One handmade piece to take through the Clayora firing process
  • Bisque firing and glaze firing
  • Glazing of your finished piece
  • Your finished ceramic piece, ready to use and enjoy
Your piece will need time to dry naturally after the workshop before it can be fired. Once it has been bisque fired, glazed, and fired again, your finished piece will be ready for collection.
