Learn hand embroidery for beginners in this relaxing Sydney workshop held by Rossella from Moka Studio.
Hand embroidering can be an amazing way of expressing your creativity by hand sewing the designs you love the most into textiles and other materials. It can be very relaxing and fun but also a useful skill to repair and mend your clothes, make your old garments look unique, create original handmade gifts and beautiful decor for your home.
During this hands-on class, you will learn all the basic skills required to create your first amazing embroidery artwork.
You will learn:
The must-have embroidery materials and supplies, and the best threads brands
How to transfer your design onto fabrics
How to set up your hoop
A number of different embroidery stitches including running stitch, chain stitch and backstitch, and French knot.
At the end of the class, you will bring home a beautiful thread work to sew on your clothes, and the basis to independently continue improving your embroidering skills!
You will be surprised how easy and addicting embroidery can be!
Please note: If there is something specific you would like to learn or you have any questions, please feel free to get in contact prior to class.

Rossella was an amazing teacher. I had no prior experience with embroidery but when I left, I felt confident I could do the stitches she showed me. I cannot wait to create my own piece. I definitely recommend taking her class to start your journey into embroidery.

One to one experience and very helpful. Rosella was very patient with me and took time to make sure I understood correctly.
Lovely afternoon going through stitches and styles of embroidery. Clear instructions and all materials provided. Good discussion on suitable products to use and where to find them. Recommended for beginner level.

Rossella was very friendly and a great teacher. A group of friends and I went to this class and thoroughly enjoyed it. It felt like we were hanging out just laughing around a table while learning a variety of different stitching techniques. She provided enough insight that we can easily continue the work we started in the class at home. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone.

Rossella was an amazing teacher who helped me with exactly what I wanted to learn. I left the class feeling confident and equipped with not only the basics but lots of tips and tricks for hand embroidery. Rossella was enthusiastic, had all the equipment ready to use and was a genuinely lovely and accomodating person!

Rossella was really friendly and patient! I highly recommend her classes to anyone that wants to learn Embroidery! The photo I added along with this review is the project I’m working on and she taught me the stitches I should use to complete it.

Great class! We learnt a lot, had fun and good chats. Rossella’s so lovely!
Absolutely loved this class! Rossella came to my place had we were able to sit outside and learn all the new stitches we needed. Perfect class for beginners or for learning new styles. The designs she gave us as well were super cool. Highly recommend

Have just had a very enjoyable embroidery class with Rossella. She was very friendly and helpful. Both my daughter (age 12) and I learnt a lot and it was fantastic enjoying the class at home as Rossella came to us. We started by learning some different stitches and then Rossella helped us transfer our chosen design onto material. She guided us as we began to fill in our design and was very generous leaving us with extra thread and tracing paper so that we could complete it after the class had finished. We would thoroughly recommend Rossella’s class.
