Henry's Honey Bee Rescue has been collecting bees all across Sydney for the past 10 years. Highlights have included swarms of bees at the Botanic Gardens, the Maritime Museum, the University of Sydney, White Bay Power Station, and navy ships at Garden Island -but every rescue is an adventure and a chance to interact with nature. Henry would like to share his love of bees with you by visiting his apiary and seeing the bees up-close.

Henry was fantastic teacher. We learnt about bees and we were able to taste different types of honey. We got into bee suits to see the bee hives and we got to see the queen bee. It was a great experience, and would definitely recommend

It was an amazing & interesting class! Henry really informed us about different aspects of bees. We didn’t just look at bees from a far, we touched them & they crawled on us. I would recommend this class to everyone.

Henry is very knowledgeable and kind enough to answer all the questions we have for beekeeping and honey. He started with the theories and pictures before bringing us to experience first hand holding the bee frames and search for the queen bee. It was a great experience and educational for someone who wants to start beekeeping!

I purchased this experience with Henry for a dear friend as a Christmas gift as she had always been interested in having bees of her own. Henry’s class had exceeded all expectations and was really beginner friendly. Henry created a relaxed environment for everyone and took the time to explain all of the processes and parts of bee keeping and happily answered any questions or curiosities you had.
Henry was very trusting of the class and allowed us to get up close and personal with the bees! We were able to all take turns holding and inspecting bees.
I highly recommend Henry’s class as the location is easy to access, and you’ll be sure to leave with so much more knowledge and a huge appreciation for bees afterwards.

When someone passionate shares their knowledge, it shows. My husband and I really enjoyed the course. Depth of knowledge can be from curious to serious Beekeeping. Venue is discreet but centrally located which is a bonus. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Henry's bee course is 100% wonderful! We loved learning from him, listening to all he had to share from his wide experience and being able to see the bees up close, along with different types of hives and having a chance to hold frames of bees at different stages. It was fascinating, and my son, who wants to get into beekeeping, has much more knowledge now, is all fired up and keen to start. Henry even gave us all some of his home-made honey and green tea kombucha. Amazing! Thank you Henry for a captivating, fun and unforgettable afternoon.

The class was fun educational! I liked that Henry explained about bees and some facts with pictures before we moved onto hands-on experience with bees! I personally gets scared by any insects easily but during that time I got familiar with them and was confident being with the bees over time.
The best of all is get to taste fresh delicious honey !
His class worth every dollar. I strongly recommend :)

Thoroughly enjoyed our beekeeping class! Was an excellent introduction for beginners! Henry had in-depth knowledge and allowed us an amazing hands on experience ensuring our safety at all times! We got to try his home made honey kombucha, plus free jars of fresh hive honey and honeycomb straight from the hive! It was amazing to see the life of a bee at work! Great value for money

Such an amazing experience! Would definitely do it again and recommend it to anyone interested in bees or learning about something new. Loved that it was a small class of 6 and we got to be hands on with the bees. We were given protective clothing so you feel safe at all times. We were also treated to some homemade honey kombucha (best kombucha I had ever tasted) and a bees wax candle plus had the choice of taking home a jar of honey or container of honeycomb. I can’t recommend this class enough!

Henry was great! He supplied us with protective clothing and gave us a great start into the world of beekeeping. We got hands-on almost right away, inspecting hives, doing basic checks, checking and dealing with pests, inspecting frames in the hives. My wife and I enjoyed the class so much and would definitely recommend Henry's class to anyone considering keeping their own bees. Henry's class was awesome! To top it off we each received a jar of Henry's local honey and a beeswax candle. Thank you Henry!
