Create your own stunning geometric brass wreath in Sydney!

2 hours Class size 8 to 50     label $150

Looking for fun Christmas activities in Sydney? Learn how to make Himmeli wreaths with a pro!

Himmeli decorations are traditional Scandinavian designs hung around Christmas and New Year, however their stunning and minimalist look make them perfect for any time of year. They work well as frames for other decorations or simply displayed on their own, which can be reused year after year.

Learn how to create your own stunning brass wreath---perfect not only for the holiday season but beautiful to display all year long!

Your teacher will guide you through the entire process. It may look tricky but you'll soon master it. Each section of the wreath is created individually using brass tubes and metal wire.

You will first learn the pattern and technique to craft each section before securing them all together into the final 40cm wreath to take home.

This is the perfect group Christmas activity, plus we travel to you!

Hei! Himmelis have been part of Scandinavian folklore - they were around even before the beloved Christmas tree. These light, delicate and graceful decorations were suspended above dining tables from Christmas to Midsummer, shimmering in the light, and they are believed to bring good luck to the household and future harvests. They’re such beautiful interior design objects - why take them down at all?

I’m Charlotte, a designer, creative and Himmeli artist who loves to educate how to make these geometric art forms (the trouble is picking which design to create next). I have a passion for sharing my skills and knowledge, and encouraging creativity.

I’ve taught a range of different Himmeli workshops such as: wreaths, hanging decorations, plant holders, jewellery, bunting, table displays and more. I’m passionate about using sustainable materials such as finding a use for preloved jewellery, old plastic straws and paper, and I have a fun teaching style aimed at bringing out the Himmeli artist in everyone! You’ll even learn more about the history and heritage of Himmeli with every workshop (but only if you’re interested).

Classes are aimed at beginners with no experience necessary, for both kids and adults.

Himmeli designs can last a lifetime, they’re a great gift to make, gift and receive!
