Take your glass bead making skills to the next level in this intermediate workshop! Building on foundational techniques, you will explore more complex bead designs and advanced flameworking methods. You'll work with Moretti Glass to create intricate patterns and shapes.
Class Overview:
  • Review of basic techniques: a quick recap of foundational skills including colour application, shaping and hot sculpting.
  • Advanced tools and equipment: introduction to additional tools such as specialty tweezers, presses and graphite pads.
  • Complex pattern techniques: learn to create complex patterns like sculpture beads, spirals, flowers and geometric designs using advanced stringer and dot work.
  • Advanced Mandrel preparation: Tips for preventing bead release breakage and ensuring smooth bead removal.
  • Tips on crafting jewellery: tips on crafting bracelets or necklaces with your handmade beads.
  • Critique and refinement: personalised feedback to help refine and perfect your bead making techniques.
Throughout the class, you’ll be guided through the process in a supportive environment in a small group, helping to build your confidence and enhance your skills.
