  • 5/5 from Krystyna Gieniec, attended Nov 2025: I had the most amazing time with artist and teacher Pascale! As someone who's never done alcohol ink art before (or much art overall), Pascale took the necessary time and effort to patiently, thoroughly and enthusiastically explain many different aspects - from basic colour theory, to layering/contrast, to using different mediums (graphic markers vs dyes), to trying different spreading techniques (air blower vs drip vs a bit of both if you can coordinate it!). It was also fun to learn about the different ways she applies alcohol ink in her own career. I came out feeling even more inspired to continue developing my skills, especially seeing some of the beautiful work I was able to achieve within the 3-hour workshop! I could not recommend this workshop and Pascale more.
  • 3/5 from Joanna Klein, attended Jan 2025: Pascale was friendly and gave lots of tips on how you can continue the alcohol ink at home, such as using a tray for mess and sharing her favourite ink brands. She is a passionate teacher and wants her students to try lots of different things with the ink. She was generous with her supply of paper for learning and experimenting. I was a bit surprised that the first 2 hours of the class is using alcohol markers and diluted ink. I loved the vibrancy of the undiluted ink that we played with in the final hour. The class took place at a home residence, there is 2hr parking limit, but I found some unlimited parking on Roseberry Ave which is a short walk away. The dog she was pet sitting was cute but a bit smelly.
  • 5/5 from Kirsten Mitchell, attended Aug 2024: Received a voucher for my 21st birthday to attend the introduction to alcohol ink workshop. Pascale was an amazing teacher who not only was able to teach us but also keep us engaged with great conversation and personality. Would highly recommend participating in this course.
  • 5/5 from Caiti Lynch, attended Nov 2023: This class was awesome! We had a great afternoon learning and creating several beautiful artworks. Pascale was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed our three hour class (which absolutely flew by!) Highly recommend this class :)
  • 5/5 from Julie Reese, attended Jun 2023: I had a great afternoon with Pascale. She gave personalised instruction and spent a good bit of time on the colour wheel, which really made a difference to how I decided how to proceed with my work. She was very thorough with the various techniques and I managed to figure out my preferred method. I am very happy with the results and what I went home with, especially my larger piece.
  • 5/5 from Davina Misra, attended Mar 2023: Great class, encouraging and well prepared teacher - we had a great time! Highly recommend this class!
  • 5/5 from Suzannah Bayes-Morton, attended Jan 2023: Great fun! Three hours flew by. Very excited to try my new skills at home.
  • 4/5 from Tamsin Claire, attended Jan 2023: The teacher was helpful and answered most of my questions. As I have been doing alcohol inks for a few months now, I felt that the class was a little too beginner for me however she did challenge me to try new techniques and ways of working. I was completely unfamiliar with the drip technique which she taught us. I was surprised that the venue did not have windows or a lot of ventilation when working with such a toxic medium, and that we did not wear masks/respirators. The teacher encouraged us to use straws with the art which is a controversial topic in the AI art community due to breathing in the fumes of the alcohol.
  • 5/5 from Peter Wong, attended Dec 2022: Took my wife and teenage son to an alcohol ink class for some quality time together. Pascal was excellent in showing us the basics of alcohol ink - she was patient, knowledgeable in all visual arts, many tips to take away and warming - and this helped us get our creative juices flowing. Will look forward to attending further classes.
  • 5/5 from Kerrie Gazzard, attended Nov 2022: Really enjoyed my workshop. It was informative and fun. Teacher very knowledgeable and helpful. Will certainly consider doing further alcohol ink workshops with her.
  • 5/5 from Mandy Haddon, attended Nov 2022: What a fun afternoon! We were made to feel very welcome and really enjoyed our introduction to Alcohol Ink painting.
  • 5/5 from Dannielle Whitehand, attended Nov 2022: This was a nice first experience for both my mum and I. I am quiet and shy, so having the teacher be very warm, welcoming and fun made me feel more comfortable. The area that we paint was a bit small, so luckily it was only a class of three. However, a bigger group might be too tight. We were given a choice of three different types of alcohol ink to choose from, allowing us to see which ones we felt best suited for us. As an induction course, we did learn the basic ideas and techniques, and with that, allows us to experiment at home, which I value, as I do hope to go to the next stage after getting the hang of the basics first and experiment on my own. I am happy that I attended and will hope to attend again in a more advanced course.

  • 5/5 from Christie Zipparo, attended Apr 2022: Pascale is a wonderful host and teacher, and the class environment was well set out and creatively inspiring, even including the background music! Absolutely everything needed was provided and, afterwards, an email list of reminders of what I had learned, plus tips and tricks, was sent to me. It was excellent value for money, especially considering I got three solid hours (more actually) of tuition and advice. I can thoroughly recommend this class and look forward to going back for the intermediate session soon. My photo shows one of the four alcohol ink artworks I made in class, then I applied the lettering and framed it at home - it's really beautiful. Thank you, Pascale :)
