Q: Do I need to have good handwriting to attend?
Absolutely not! This is the most common misconception about calligraphy. Brush calligraphy is actually more like drawing shapes than writing. We will be breaking everything down into simple strokes, so your everyday handwriting does not matter at all.
Q: I have never done anything creative before. Is this for me?
Yes, a thousand times yes! This workshop is designed specifically for complete beginners. My goal is to create a safe, cosy space where you can just play and experiment without any pressure to be "perfect."
Q: What do I need to bring?
Just your lovely self! Everything you need to participate is included in your ticket. You will receive a curated Swallow Wind Art kit with pens and paper to use on the day and take home, plus we will have plenty of shared tools on the tables.
Q: Can I come by myself?
Of course! Many of our journalers and crafters attend solo. When you check out, you can let me know if you prefer to be seated at a chatty table to make new friends, or a quiet, cosy corner if you just want some peaceful time to yourself.
Q: Are food and drinks included?
While food and drinks are not included in the ticket price, our beautiful venue has a wonderful menu! You are more than welcome to order your favourite coffee, tea, or sweet treat to enjoy at your table while we letter.
