What you'll do

Looking for new things to do at home? Gain an introduction into the fascinating world of criminal and forensic psychology in this two-part online course!

This will be a four-hour experience over two evenings and a perfect way to spend a great evening.

During the live online class, the following topics will be covered:

What are forensic and criminal psychology? (discussion)
Violent offenders-assault, homicide and police response
Predatory criminals
Lies, lie detecting and credibility
Mental disorders and crime

The delivery of this class will be a relaxed style, although the material is commensurate to undergraduates at a University. Don't worry if you miss one of the sessions, all ticket holders will be sent a link to the event recording.

The experience will be delivered by Steve Gaskin a former Murder Squad Detective Chief Inspector at New Scotland Yard. He is also an adviser to BBC Silent Witness and forensic psychologist.

How the class runs:
You will receive a link to follow online, ready for the video call. We use the online platform "Zoom" to deliver our experiences. You will be able to see and hear Steve during his talk. There will also be the opportunity to post questions (and time dependant, Steve may be able to answer these). You will need to install the plugin or app, please make sure you "test" this at least 10 minutes before the call is due to begin, to ensure you don't miss the start.
