I was given the class as a gift. Jenny was fantastic showing us how to use all the materials, of which there was a lot provided. We were able to use a range of different paper to try the alcohol inks on and we went away with our favourite picture framed! We came from Geelong and the venue was easily accessible via public transport. A great day!

Teacher's response

Hi Kerry, it was fabulous having you both here in my studio. Thanks so much for making the trip. Next time we'll schedule an afternoon together so you can get the train at a more reasonable hour. I think what you created was fabulous and I hope you got loads of accolades when you got home. I look forward to see you again anytime that suits you. Thanks. jenie

I really loved this class/ so much potential for creativity, as well as understanding a new artistic skill. The teacher Jenie is warm, friendly and energetic, and very encouraging and supportive.
Will definitely look forward to doing another class with her.

The class was amazing. Being limited to 2 students there was lots of individual attention and there was no limit on the amount of practice pieces or use of materials, so we really had the opportunity to experiment and get comfortable with the process before we started on our big piece. The session was fun and relaxed and we didn't feel hurried in any way. I loved the whole experience and will treasurer my final piece.

A gift from my daugther and a wonderful experience. Just the two of us so we had Jenie all to ourselves. It was an amazing day. Jenie was extremely knowledgeable and skill and very happy to impart her skills. We came away with a love for the craft and big smiles on our faces.

Finally got around to booking this class for my mums birthday and we had such a great time. We had never done anything like this before and Jenie made everything easy and comfortable. By the end of the session my mum had wanted to book again and with a range of her other classes too! I cannot recommend enough!

Jenie is a passionate art teacher and enthusiastically ran through the different ways of experimenting with the ink and alcohol.
I loved this class, it was fun, relaxing and a fantastic experience.

Being able to just play was the best part.

I was surprised at the creations I made.

Jenie was amazing. She gave us a quick lesson in how glass likes to work and showed us lots of examples of successful and not so successful projects. Jenie was encouraging, engaging and exciting and really helped us to create our pieces of art.

We had the most magic morning doing a family workshop with Jenie. Jenie is so well set up for these workshops and her studio is a little piece of heaven. She had all the kit and more, and most of all she just have the most lovely nature and temperament for these classes, fully encouraging us to get stuck in and play. Her expert guidance is gentle and constructive and with humour: "too many notes Mr Mozart" is now firmly a part of our family lexicon! thank you Jenie - we will be back!

Great course with loads of information on how the different types of glass fusion can turn out. I was delighted that l had one on one tutoring and the course wasn't cancelled due to lack of students. Jenny helped harness my ideas and I can't wait to see the finished plater .

It was informative but simple enough for anyone to do, with lots of materials provided. It was great value for money as we could make as many as we wanted. LOVED this class! I was lucky enough on this occasion to have a very small class size and so had a lot of individual attention. Jenie explained everything I needed to know very clearly and carefully, with a strong emphasis on safety - essential when working with sharp glass. She also had lots of examples of actual finished pieces to illustrate her explanations - both the good outcomes and the ones to avoid.
Jenie explained the technique then allowed the student to make own choices from the many options available - so many beautiful glass colours and types.
The studio is really cute and very well organised, with lots of examples of Jenie's own work providing colour and inspiration.
There are many other classes on offer from Jenie and I am keen to return and work on some more projects.
The time flew by today and unfortunately I was having such a lovely time chatting and talking all things glass that I forgot to photograph my workI am excited to return to collect it and see the finished product. I highly recommend this class.

Jenie was a fantastic teacher who allowed us to just have fun and guide us along the way.
The 3 hours went way too fast.
The only downside was last-minute change of venue which was no fault of the teacher. If the advertisement is for a particular venue, that can make all the difference to attendance. Perhaps the organisation can support the classes/teachers a little better in this regard.
