Arrive and Meet the Metal

Head into the studio and settle in for a hands-on jewellery adventure. You'll receive a warm welcome from your teacher and get an introduction to the tools and materials you’ll be using.

Cut, Measure and Personalise

Start by cutting your silver to size, then add a personal touch—stamp your initials, a date or a design to make it truly yours.

Fire It Up

Bring the heat! Use a jeweller’s torch to fire and soften the silver so it’s ready to be sealed into a ring.

Shape and Prep

Bend and hammer your silver into a perfect ring shape. It’s starting to look like the real thing.

Polish to Perfection

Bring out the shine with a good buff and polish. You'll refine the surface until it gleams with a professional finish.

Slide It on and Shine

Pop your brand-new ring on and admire your handiwork. Handmade, one-of-a-kind, and ready to wear home!

Welcome to our silver ring making workshop, where you'll have the chance to unleash your creativity and craft your own silver ring.

In this session, you'll learn how to create a beautiful hammered sterling silver ring, whether as a gift for someone special or a treat for yourself. We'll guide you through traditional silversmithing techniques like annealing, forging, soldering and filing, so you get hands-on experience at every step.

You'll receive a 3mm-wide silver bar to make your ring. If you prefer a thicker band, you can upgrade at checkout: choose a 5mm band for an additional $30. If you're unsure about the thickness, simply book the 3mm option — on the day you'll be able to see our samples and choose what suits you best.

The class usually takes around 1.5–2 hours, depending on the ring style you choose and your working pace.

She guided us through annealing (softening the metal) texturing, stamping, optionally adding twists, shaping, welding sanding and polishing our rings before she finally placed them in a ball-bearing tumbler for a final polish. Great value considering all we got to experience.

Also, I got the impression the teacher wanted me to finish as soon as possible. Some of the steps were performed by the teacher directly and she did not show me how to do it.
