What you'll do

Guided by skilled instructors, you will explore the fundamentals of silver ring making, learn essential techniques, and gain insights into the creative process that transforms 999 pure silver into jewellery.

During this jewellery-making class, you will learn how to create a silver ring. You will practice techniques such as sawing, annealing, soldering, filing and polishing. This class is an opportunity to explore the art of silversmithing and gain practical skills in crafting silver rings.

At the end of the class, you'll have your handmade ring to wear proudly or give as a gift.

If you are not familiar with needle files and jewelers saw you are shown and taught what to do. The tools are not difficult to use, and no doubt you can get good results relatively. If you want to try something different, the class is excellent. The ring made is a simple ring, with a selectable pattern on the outside, and it can be stamped on the inside, with a name etc.

Then he showed me how to solder, file and polish the ring. We had a great chat in-between all the steps too. Love how the ring turned out.
