This course is the perfect introduction to the sewing machine for a young and budding sewist! Over two days, kids and teens will learn lots of new skills and techniques and sew a tote bag.

They will start by stitching up some small projects like a pin cushion and drawstring bag. Sewing techniques that will be covered include hemming and finishing raw edges to create the final sewing project – a simple tote bag!
This course is taught on Janome sewing machine model MW3018 (mechanical) or you are welcome to bring your own sewing machine.
Please get in touch if you need to drop your child off prior to 9:30am, or pick them up later than 3:00pm. We can try to offer extended care, but an additional fee will apply.
"My daughter (10yo) recently attended two day sewing workshop at Sew Make Create. She had great experience. We were able to supply our own sewing machine so she gets comfortable using that at home and Catherine had been a great guide. She wants to join another day course next school holidays. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone learning sewing."
