Learning Mandarin is even better when you do it together—whether with friends, family, or colleagues. It’s a fun, creative way to unlock your potential, build confidence, and share plenty of laughs along the way.My name is Mei. My Mandarin teaching journey began in Beijing back in 2002, where I first discovered how rewarding it is to help others connect with the Chinese language and culture. From there, I continued teaching in New Zealand, and since 2010, I’ve been proudly based in Australia, working with a diverse range of students and communities.Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching students of all ages and backgrounds. From 5- to 70-year-old students learning their first Chinese words to high-achieving professionals looking to build confidence in business settings. I’ve taught one-on-one lessons, small group classes (3–5 students), and large corporate groups of 25+ participants. Each experience has shaped my teaching style to be flexible, engaging, and tailored to every learner’s needs.What I love most about teaching Mandarin is seeing that “lightbulb moment”—when a student suddenly gains confidence, starts forming sentences, or connects language with real-life meaning. I love designing interactive activities, cultural experiences, and practical conversation scenarios so students don’t just learn Chinese—they actually use it.Let's make Mandarin accessible, enjoyable, and relevant together!
