Looking for fun kids activities for the school holidays? In this beginner's sewing class, kids will learn to use a sewing machine and make their own hair accessories!
This kids beginners sewing class will introduce them to this life skill while having a lot of creative fun along the way.
What we'll be learning:
- How to thread the machine and wind a bobbin
- How to create a simple pattern
- How to cut and pin fabric using a simple pattern
- How to sew straight lines and zig-zag
- Basic seam construction and neatening techniques as well as pressing
At the end of this class, kids will take home their own handmade hair accessories.

I started making and crafting as a way to practice mindfulness and create time for myself in this busy world.
My journey started when I made a bag for a girlfriend as a gift and not before long I was designing and making beach bags and selling them at local markets. My passion and hobby became my work, what a joy!
I began to explore other arts and crafts including jewellery making, embroidery, crochet and macrame. Whilst I love making and creating for markets and my Etsy store, my real passion is inspiring others to get creative and to enjoy the process. I truly believe everybody has a creative side!
