Our beginner's sewing course in Sydney is a great introduction to this life skill while having a lot of creative fun along the way. It's perfect for both absolute beginners and a refresher course for those who haven't sewed in a while or want to increase their skills and knowledge.
Whether you're a complete beginner or someone wanting to refresh your sewing abilities, this class is designed for you. Our expert instructors will guide you every step of the way, ensuring you feel confident and supported throughout your sewing journey.
Learn how to:
- Thread the machine and wind a bobbin
- Set up your machine and basic part names and functions
- Create a simple pattern
- Cut and pin the fabric
- Sew straight lines and zig-zag
- Basic seam construction and neatening techniques as well as pressing
At the end of this course, you will take home your own handmade items, a cushion, bag and a basic piece if handmade clothing. See you at the sewing table!
