- We'll deliver a ClassBento Box to you - this is a physical DIY craft kit containing the materials you'll need. Shipping is free, and you'll get your box delivered in time for your class. We ship nationwide.
- Enjoy the online class. After booking, you'll receive a link to a Zoom meeting. At the time of the class, use that link to join. During the class, you can easily ask questions and get immediate responses. Zoom is free and easy to use, on any device. You're in control of your privacy - you can mute yourself and hide your webcam if and when you prefer.
What you'll do
Fairy gardens are even more fun than a doll's house! Whether you believe in fairies or not, a fairy garden is a must for the bottom of your garden or flat balcony. If there are goblins, fairies or unicorns about this will definitely attract them. This fantasy world is a great escape for you and your kids if you're struggling with what to do when you're bored.
Bring along some seeds or seedlings such as violas, pansies, alyssum, lobelia, nasturtiums to plant or succulents as they are very easy to grow and it's now the perfect time of year.
In this live online class, you will:
- Learn how to grow plants, make a peg doll fairy, build teeny models and make use of found objects as well as plant a living garden with grass seeds,
- Learn to make fairy peg dolls with a unique personality.
- Make little props and models.
- Learn how to set up a drainage system.
At the end of this live online class, your kids will have a wonderful world to escape to when they've had enough of other things to do at home! This is also a perfect activity for a virtual kids birthday party to catch up as a group. We have some dinosaurs as well on request.
Please note if you are outside NSW we cannot send organic matter such as seeds and soil over the NSW border for biosecurity reasons. In this case we will send you extra crafting materials as a replacement and encourage you to bring 4 cups of soil and a couple of small plants (see suggested plants above.)
Knowledge required
No experience needed, perfect for adults and kids.
What you'll get in your craft kit
- Fairy peg doll kit
- Plasticine for modelling toadstools and mini donuts
- Decorative papers
- glue and double sided tape
- Grass seeds and soil
- 2 small terracotta pots
- An assortment of gravel, rocks, pebbles and craft pieces to make all things 'fairy'

You will need an old table spoon to handle the soil.Some small plants or seedlings.

Suitable for
This is a fun indoor activity, suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 5 years old). An adult must be present whilst kid(s) engage with the box.
