Hi, I’m Ghia, the founder of M.A.N Studio – Mind • Art • Nurture.
M.A.N Studio really started at home during the school holidays. As a mum of three, I was always trying to think of meaningful activities to keep my kids busy, creative and away from too much screen time. Arts and crafts became one of our favourite things to do together, and I loved seeing how calm, focused and proud they became when they were creating something with their own hands.
From there, I started doing arts and crafts activities with children at our Sunday church. The kids would often ask when we could do another activity, and that really encouraged me. I then started bringing creative activities to birthdays, including my children’s celebrations and my girlfriends’ birthday gatherings. Seeing both children and adults enjoy the experience made me realise that this was something I could grow into a business.
That’s how M.A.N Studio was born.
What I love most about teaching is seeing people relax, concentrate and enjoy the process without worrying about being perfect. Everyone can start with the same item, but the finished creations always look completely different because each person brings their own personality, colours and ideas.
I’m also currently studying Counselling, and that has made me even more interested in how creative activities can support wellbeing, connection, confidence and focus. While my workshops are creative experiences rather than therapy sessions, I try to create a welcoming and relaxed environment where children and adults can slow down, enjoy the moment and feel proud of what they make.
I have experience facilitating creative activities with children through church, private celebrations, birthday parties, workshops and community events. Through M.A.N Studio, I offer hands-on activities such as decoden decorating, personalised hairbrushes and photo frames, plaster painting, patch decorating and other creative projects.
The name M.A.N Studio stands for Mind • Art • Nurture, which reflects what I want people to experience when they join one of my workshops: creativity, connection, enjoyment and a little time to simply focus on making something special.
For me, it’s not just about the finished craft. It’s about the conversations, laughter, confidence and memories created along the way.
