Hi, I’m Tejal! I used to work in IT as an Engineer and a Scrum Master, but I followed my passion for creativity and helping people express themselves through art. I am also a certified interior decorator, which inspires the way I blend aesthetics and mindfulness in my workshops. I now run sessions where participants create vision boards, hand-painted tote bags, resin art, clay art, and more, blending mindfulness, fun, and self-expression.
I’m also a certified Art Therapy Practitioner and worked with an NDIS provider, which inspires me to make experiences inclusive, empowering, and healing.
I love teaching because those little “aha” moments — when someone expresses themselves freely or leaves with something they’re proud of — are magical. My workshops are soulful, intimate, and thoughtful, with materials and prompts to make every experience special.
Creating a space where people feel seen, inspired, and empowered is what drives me every day.

Meet TJ Creative Hive

Tejal spent years balancing engineering, project management and interior decor, feeling there was room to combine her background with her creative passions.  So, what began as a joy for painting quickly grew into a whole lot more. As Tejal dedicated herself to her artistic interests, it became clear that creating art wasn't just about making something beautiful; it was a form of wellbeing. And that’s how TJ Creative Hive was born—a place where everyone can use art to take care of themselves.

Wanting to create artistic experiences that went beyond ‘making’, Tejal deeply explored different art forms, finding resonance in Kintsugi and its philosophy.

Kintsugi gave Tejal the gentle reminder that broken things can be delicately repaired and become even more meaningful. She was captivated by the idea that we don’t always need to hide our cracks; sometimes, they become the most beautiful part of who we are. So, she started her Kintsugi workshops to give people a chance to understand just that.

Her hope is to give people an opportunity to slow down, connect with themselves (and others), and reflect on their own journeys in a relaxed, non-judgmental space.

Let’s hear from the maker herself!

One thing to take away from my Kintsugi class…

“I always share that our cracks don’t make us less beautiful; they become part of our story. Kintsugi reminds us to embrace imperfection, honour our journey, and see beauty in the process of becoming something new.”

The vibes I bring to my classes…

“My classes are relaxed and social, filled with conversations and laughter, but also have quiet moments for reflection. I love creating a safe space where people can connect, share stories and enjoy the process at their own pace.”

TJ Creative Hive - Tejal and Friend

My top tip for beginners…

“The most common question is, “What if I’m not artistic?”

But I always reassure them that Kintsugi isn’t about being perfect or having artistic skills. It’s about enjoying the process and creating something meaningful in your own way.”

My favourite part of a workshop is…

“What I love most is seeing people arrive as strangers and leave having shared stories, laughter and meaningful moments. Through TJ Creative Hive, I want to make creativity accessible to everyone, regardless of their artistic experience, and remind people that there is beauty in embracing imperfection.”

My most memorable Kintsugi class experience is...

“What stays with me most is seeing participants connect their Kintsugi pieces to their own life experiences. Sometimes, a simple act of repairing a broken ceramic becomes a moment of reflection, reminding us that imperfections are part of our journey and can make us stronger.

Those moments of sharing and connection are what make every workshop special to me

It’s also a bonus when people try Kintsugi at home with their own broken pieces and send me photos of their beautiful repairs! I love seeing how they continue the journey beyond the workshop.”

Step inside my studio and you’ll find…

“A beautiful mix of people! I welcome solo explorers, couples celebrating anniversaries, friends celebrating birthdays, families gathering for special moments, and corporate teams looking for meaningful team-building experiences. That’s what I love about Kintsugi: it brings people together in so many different ways.”
