Q: Do I need any nail art experience?
Not at all! Set & Sip is designed for complete beginners as well as anyone who already loves nail art. I’ll guide you through the process, demonstrate techniques and be there to help whenever you need it.
Q: What is included in the $125 price?
Everything you need for the experience is included. You’ll have access to a curated collection of gel colours, finishes, nail art, decals, charms, gems and embellishments selected especially for your workshop theme. You’ll create a complete custom press-on nail set to take home, along with your own nail kit containing everything you need to prep, apply, wear, store and reuse your nails. Complimentary grazing nibbles are provided, along with tea, coffee & water.
Q: Do I get to choose my nail design?
Absolutely. Each Set & Sip has a curated theme and inspiration to get you started, but everyone creates their own individual set. You can follow the inspiration closely, mix and match ideas or create your own interpretation of the theme. No two sets need to be the same!
Q: What nail shapes and lengths are available?
You’ll choose your preferred nail shape and length before the workshop so I can have your nail set prepared and ready for you when you arrive. Don’t worry about knowing your individual nail sizes — we’ll size each nail to fit you at the beginning of the workshop before you start creating your set. Available shapes and lengths will be shown when you book.
Q: What is in my take-home nail kit?
Your take-home kit has everything you need to get the most out of your new custom set. It includes nail glue and adhesive tabs, a mini nail file, buffer, cuticle stick and alcohol prep pads, plus your finished press-on nails and a storage case to keep them protected between wears. You’ll also receive simple instructions for prepping, applying, safely removing and caring for your press-ons so you can wear and reuse your set again.
Q: Can I reuse the nails I make?
Yes! With careful application and removal, your custom press-on set can be worn again. Your take-home kit includes what you need to look after your set and reuse it.
Q: Can I BYO drinks?
Yes. Set & Sip is BYO, so you’re welcome to bring wine, bubbles or your favourite drink to enjoy during the workshop. Glassware will be provided. Please drink responsibly.
Q: Is food provided?
Yes. Complimentary grazing nibbles are provided for you to enjoy during the workshop. If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, please let me know when booking so I can advise what can be accommodated. To keep the workshop space organised and our food service manageable, please don't bring any food with you.

Q: Is this suitable for private groups or celebrations?
Yes! Set & Sip is perfect for birthdays, hens celebrations, girls’ nights, team activities and other special occasions. Private group bookings can also be arranged.
Q: What happens if I don’t finish my set during the workshop?
The workshop is designed to give you plenty of time to complete your set, but nail art can be addictive — and sometimes the perfect design takes a little longer! If you don’t quite finish within the session, there’s no need to rush. I can complete the final details and finishing touches for you after the workshop, with your finished set available to collect or delivery arranged for an additional fee. I want you to leave with a set you love, rather than compromise your design because the clock is ticking.
Q: Are the nails applied during the workshop?
Your press-ons are created during the workshop and taken home with you rather than applied on the day. This means you can choose when you want to wear them and keep your custom set for future use.

Hi, I’m Cath — the founder of The Set Lab, the face behind Teal Roses Nails, a mum of three and more than a little obsessed with nail art.My professional background is probably not what you’d expect from a nail art host! I’ve spent 25 years working in forensic and analytical science, with particular expertise in chemical hazards, laboratory safety and contamination control. I also have extensive experience training and mentoring others, including formal training in delivering sessions to small groups.Alongside my science career, I’m currently completing my Certificate III in Nail Technology, building on years of learning, experimenting and creating nail art through Teal Roses Nails.It’s an unusual combination, but it’s one that has shaped The Set Lab perfectly. I’m meticulous about safety, hygiene, organisation and the products and processes I use, while still making sure the experience itself feels relaxed, welcoming and genuinely fun.As a mum of three, I also know that kids and teens need the right balance of guidance and creative freedom.
