Take the Nude out of the StudioSpend an extraordinary day photographing the human form across 10 dramatically different outdoor locations, travelling from Penrith towards the Lower Blue Mountains and creating images shaped by landscape, natural light, texture, scale and the unexpected.This is not a photowalk.It is not ten hours standing around one location.And it is definitely not a conventional studio workshop moved outdoors.The Outdoor Nude Expedition is a constantly evolving photographic journey.We drive. We scout. We stop. We create. Then we move again.Across the day, we will work through 10 selected locations, using each environment to create a completely different visual language. Open landscape. Rock. Bushland. Architectural fragments. Roadsides. Shadow. Harsh Australian sun. Soft available light. Vast skies. Intimate details.At one location, the model may appear almost insignificant against an enormous landscape.At another, the body becomes the landscape.Sometimes the photograph will be minimal and sculptural. Sometimes darker and more intimate. Sometimes bold, contemporary and editorial. The objective is not to repeat the same photograph ten times — it is to come home with a body of work that looks as though it was created across several completely different shoots.Throughout the expedition, you will learn how to see a location photographically — how to arrive somewhere unfamiliar, recognise what it can offer, understand the available light and quickly turn an ordinary environment into a compelling image.We will work extensively with:Environmental art nude photographyEnough Photos to create an Art BookComposition and use of negative spaceThe human form against large landscapesNatural-light direction and exposureWorking with hard sunlight, open shade and changing conditionsAccurate skin tones in difficult outdoor lightModel direction outside the controlled studio environmentLens choice, perspective and visual scaleCreating sculptural, fine-art and editorial interpretationsDeveloping several completely different ideas from a single locationMost importantly, you will shoot continuously throughout the day.This is hands-on photography with active guidance, demonstrations, direction and creative input throughout the experience. You will be encouraged to experiment, change positions, change lenses, question compositions and push an idea further rather than simply accepting the first photograph that works.Some locations are selected in advance. Others may be adapted according to the weather, privacy, access, the quality of the light and what we discover along the way.That unpredictability is part of the experience.Because one of the most valuable skills a location photographer can develop is the ability to look at a place that everyone else drives past — and see a photograph.By the end of the day, you should have not merely a collection of nude photographs, but a diverse environmental art nude portfolio spanning intimate studies, powerful landscape compositions, sculptural imagery and stronger editorial work.What You Will Create?Over approximately ten hours, we will visit up to 10 shooting locations, with multiple concepts and variations created throughout the journey.You will have the opportunity to create:
