Open Studio Projects is designed for hand-building makers with some experience — a little or a lot — looking for studio time with support.
What’s better about Open Studio Projects?
1. Expert teacher led — that’s me, Carol Hudson, with degrees and loads of experience in ceramics, art and design
2. Thoughtful feedback, individual discussion and assistance to develop your work successfully
3. A relaxed, art and design focused studio where you can bring your own ideas and projects to life
4. 3-hour sessions
5. Materials are included:
  • 2kgs of studio clays: white raku, white stoneware or coloured stoneware clays
  • stoneware glazes and underglazes
6. Tools supplied
7. On site bisque and glaze firing services available
8. Work in progress storage (within reason — probably not full scale horses etc)
9. New skills and knowledge — if there’s a particular skill you need — such as sgraffito or pinch coiling, glazing techniques — additional tuition can be scheduled
10. A warm welcoming creative community to work alongside.
This is the ideal place for independent makers who value professional guidance and creative exchange. I’m here to help you realise your projects and keep your making practice moving forward.
