Paint Watercolour Marine Animals at Home

In this beginner-friendly online painting class, learn how to paint with vivid watercolours at home as you get lost in an undersea wonderland painting your favourite sea-dwelling creatures. Stunning seahorses, whimsical whales, serene sea turtles and wonderous whale sharks - what will you choose?

Taught by super-talented Brisbane artist, Carlie Edwards, it's a fantastic opportunity to unwind in the comfort of your own home, get lost in a creative craft and learn new art skills. Carlie's workshops are relaxed, practical, but most importantly - super fun!

You'll be guided live online throughout the painting process with a range of exciting, simple techniques designed to get you comfortable and relaxed. We'll then walk through two marine animal artworks where you can either choose to follow along step by step, or use this as a guide to creating your own marine masterpieces.

We’ll give you a series of oceanic animal templates to choose from, so there are no drawing skills required. This means everyone’s creations are different; you get to embrace your creativity and add your own artistic flair!

We love seeing your unique artworks, but for those who prefer to follow a step-by-step process, Carlie will walk you through one simple ocean animal and one more advanced animal during the workshop.

Over two-and-a-half-hours you'll learn:

• How to apply watercolours
• Tools and techniques to achieve special effects
• How to navigate ‘happy accidents’ and simple ways to make corrections
• Colour mixing, colour theory and how to choose colours for your artwork
• Tips to frame your brand new masterpieces!

There are tons of ways to express yourself with colour and detail in your chosen marine animal designs and your supportive teacher will provide lots of help and interaction to make sure you're super proud of your finished artworks.
