Join us at Mishcreates in Miranda for a relaxed, beginner-friendly floral watercolour Paint & Sip where you can create a painting that's a little more personal to you.
What you'll learn
We'll introduce you to some simple watercolour techniques including mixing colours, creating washes, layering colour, and adding loose floral details.
We'll work through the painting together, but this is very much a paint-and-sip rather than a formal art lesson. Take your time, have a chat, enjoy your drink, and create at your own pace.
The best part? You can choose the flowers you want to paint.
You can choose one of our floral designs, or we can theme your floral template around:
  • Australian natives
  • Birth flowers for yourself or someone special
  • Favourite flowers
  • Flowers from a wedding or special occasion
  • A particular colour palette
  • A floral theme for a birthday, hens party, or private event
Let us know your theme before the class and we'll prepare a template for you to work from (please ensure you book at least a week in advance for personalised templates).
This isn't about everyone producing exactly the same painting. Choose your colours, change things around, and make your artwork your own.
This also makes the workshop a lovely way to create a handmade gift for someone rather than buying another present.
Bring your favourite drink, settle in, and enjoy a couple of hours of painting, sipping, and creating.

Knowledge required
This workshop is designed for beginners, and templates are provided, so you don't need to know how to draw.
Even if the last time you painted was in school, you'll be completely fine!

  • Just yourself and your favourite people if you want to make a night of it
  • This class is BYO, so you're welcome to bring wine, bubbles, or another drink to enjoy while you paint
  • You can also bring a few snacks

The studio is located at Kiora Centre, 29 Kiora Road, Miranda. Parking The easiest option is to park at Westfield Miranda, which offers 3 hours of free parking (or 4 hours if you're a Westfield member using the app). The Kiora Road entrance is the closest to the studio. There is also timed street parking available on Kiora Road and the surrounding streets, however availability can vary. Travelling by train? Miranda Train Station is only a short 2–3 minute walk away, making it an easy option if you'd prefer not to drive.

  • 5/5 from Robyn Lindsay, attended Oct 2026: Lovely, intimate evening. My first time using water paints! Mish is a lovely teacher, creating a relaxed atmosphere for participants. There was no pressure to create a masterpiece, just the slowing down of time to play and see how watercolours blend - using wet on wet technique and wet on dry technique - and then moving on to apply those techniques to our chosen painting. For me, the evening was made even more enjoyable by spending time in conversation with the other participants. Water-colour is a little like meditation with a paintbrush. A lovely few hours to lay down life’s stresses, unwind and enjoy some creative play time.
