When you make the choice to eat and cook real food that is most optimal for the human body, as whole plant foods are, you are making the choice to take responsibility for your wellbeing and positively contribute to our planet.

This plant-based food experience takes you on a journey of self-empowerment to build your confidence, comfort, and creativity to work with whole plant foods in your kitchen.

You will learn how to feed yourself in a way that:

  • Is easy, doable, economical, and sustainable.
  • Nourishes and heals your body from the inside out.

You'll learn how to:
  • Work with common, fresh, whole plant food ingredients that you can get from your local grocery store.
  • Cook various starchy and non-starchy vegetables, grains, legumes, and mushrooms.
  • Incorporate fruits, nuts, seeds, herbs, and spices into meals in easy and healthy ways.
  • Create simple, yet delicious, and satisfying meals and treats.
  • Approach plant-based, positively based on mindfulness and gratitude.

What you'll get
  • You'll be greeted with a "Green or Turmeric shot" as you get acquainted with your teacher before we start chopping, slicing and blending. We'll show you how to prepare plant-based milk, yoghurts, breakfast, salads, main meals and desserts. You will fill yourself up with so much good stuff that there'll be no space for the other stuff!
  • Three-course lunch included in the program.
  • All participants will receive a recipe booklet.

Hi, my name is Jasna Kosovac and I am a certified nutritionist and educator. The power of nutrition is very personal me. I experienced years of chronic back pain, constant tiredness, and terrible eye inflammation that caused temporary blindness; in 2010 I was diagnosed with autoimmune disease. I began researching and speaking to experts on how food and natural medicines could reverse illness and optimise health vibrancy. Today as a certified nutritionist, detox specialist, and proponent of a plant-based lifestyle, I use science-based nutritional evaluations and focused, personalised consulting to help others discover health, vitality and well-being. Encouraging positive lifestyle habits, wholesome foods choices and re-balancing the body with the right nutritional supplement. With over 20 years experience as a teacher, I have combined my love of teaching with my knowledge and passion for plant-based eating into a mission to help and educate as many people as I can on how to recover their health and feel amazing! I would have like more time to be spent hands on cooking all of the meals on offer rather than focussing on why other people had come to the group.

I am sorry that you didn’t find the experience as good as all the other participants. But that’s ok. We are all different and we perceive things differently. I personally think that all the participants had a hands-on experience in cooking a meal and I from my part did the best I could to make this experience an enjoyable one. What a lovely afternoon experience! Jasna had all the prepping done and we all chatted, cooked and ate together! I found Jasna was interesting (with lots of inspiration) and interested in us too! The meals we prepared were delicious! We came away with printed recipes and ingredients of what we made and ate. The cashew yoghurt with date sauce was a treat! If you are looking for a relaxed class and a healthy alternative to the everyday foods…this might be the class for you too!

I booked this private cooking class with Jasna after attending one of her workshops.At the workshop I was impressed with Jasna’s knowledge about plant-based nutrition but the cooking class exceeded all my expectations. Jasna certainly practises what she teaches. We’ve learned so much about food combining, how to prepare food in advance, so that you are all set up for the week ahead. We prepared entrees, main meals and desserts, which we enjoyed together after the class. Jasna is very easygoing, friendly and has a great sense of humour. We certainly filled ourselves up with some really good stuff, inside and out. Thank you Jasna
