Pottery Serving Set Class: Make a Platter and Bowl

Join us for a day of clay and fun at this pottery class in Cremorne!

2 hours Location Cremorne Class size 1 to 10 (public classes), 5 to 25   $85 (Afterpay available)

If you’re looking to spice up your home dining experience and impress your friends and family, or simply want to unwind from a busy week, here is your invitation to our unique and intimate pottery crafting experiences in Sydney.
In a two-hour session, you will learn to expertly craft your own intricately detailed serving platter and a small bowl using slabbing techniques and decorative lacing or stamps. Our experiences are as much about the journey as the outcome, and both are soothing and highly rewarding. So, round up family, friends or your coworkers and join us in our studio on an evening or afternoon of your choice!
You are welcome to bring your own drinks and nibbles to the session. We will provide you with all the materials and tools you need to bring your creations to life!
After your craft your pieces, we will dry, glaze and fire them for you! This process usually takes six weeks. Whilst we would love for you to walk away with your masterpieces at the end of the session, pottery is a timely process but it’s more than worth the wait! We will notify you when your beautiful pieces are ready for you to collect and take home.
Note: Please collect your work within six weeks of ending your class. Our studio is busy and we can stock them only for a short period. If you will not be able to pick up your work we will be forced to dispose your work.

  • 5/5 from Sophia Stanbury, attended Jun 2025: Yvonne was very warm and easy to get along with, she wasn’t overly in your space which was great and always ready to help when asked. Offered tea and glasses upon arrival and a lot of tools and different equipment to etch into the clay to create patterns. We came as a mother-daughter team and we had plenty of opportunity to bond and share ideas while also getting just the right amount of attention from Yvonne. Highly recommend spending a few hours learning the basics of pottery. We will definitely be back for more
  • 5/5 from Adam Moore, attended Oct 2024: The class with Yvonne was fantastic. She was informative, supportive and warm. It was a very relaxing class - such a lovely experience.

We are two potters (Misha&Yvona Pottery) who produce natural organic hand built tableware. We are drawn from colours and textures of nature, simplicity and function. We have loved clay since our childhood and this last decade we have devoted our time and passion to it fully. Pottery is our passion and we want to share that passion with you!
We are living in a world full of technology, surrounded by all this stress and rush, we are losing contact with nature. The process of taking a clod of mud, mixing it with water giving it form, putting it in the fire, and walking away with something beautiful, functional, and completely unique is a magical experience. It brings an overwhelming sense of joy and satisfaction to anyone who works with clay.
