Why not get out of the home and learn together how to use your camera off auto mode and take high-quality photos? Well, this is a fun and practical outdoor activity for the family or a small group of friends or couples.

As this is a private beginner photography class (or with some previous photography knowledge), you can bring any DSLR camera, mirrorless camera, compact camera or smartphone camera. Your teacher will show you how to use your camera to its full potential to get creative with your photography. You’ll also get to capture some of Sydney landmarks and lesser-known subjects along the way, as well as tips on taking great portrait photos.

We will begin with a brief overview of your camera settings and then get fully hands-on with a walking tour through the historic and beautiful areas of The Rocks, Sydney Harbour and other CBD locations where you will have the opportunity to practice your photography skills.

You will learn by 'doing' and gain skills on fundamental photography techniques such as the composition of an image, focus and exposure control, blurring backgrounds (depth of field) and best lighting for landscape, portrait, flower photography and more.

Since this workshop is within a private group, it can also be customised to suit your needs if you let your teacher know in advance what camera/s you have and what you want to focus on.

This private class is available for groups of two to 12 people and also on private request for one person for a flat rate of $395 for three hours.
