  • 5/5 from Teresa Sam, attended Apr 2026: I had such a great experience in this sewing class! I went in with absolutely no knowledge of how to use a sewing machine, and I honestly felt a bit nervous at first. But Mimi was incredibly patient, clear, and supportive throughout the entire process. By the end of the class, I was so proud of myself for being able to sew my own pair of pajama pants from scratch. The instructions were easy to follow, and the hands-on guidance made everything feel manageable, even as a complete beginner. Highly recommend!
  • 5/5 from Maria Doan, attended Mar 2026: The aim of my visit was to develop my knowledge, understanding and skills on how to get my Bridesmaids dress fix as I needed the lining of the dress to be connected with the front and back layer of the dress as I did not like the lining been separated as seen in the photo. To save my day, I seeked Mimi for help. Mimi gave me some professional advice on what we could do to make it work and explain the process that would not be too time consuming. She suggested we unpicked the seamed and showed me how to do it before repining the seam of the front abd back layer with the lining and sewing it together. She also demonstrated and showed me how to steamed the seam of the dress with the steamer to even it out. Mimi was able to successfully help me make a clean slit in the bridesmaid dress without the lining showing, which was exactly how I wanted it to be. It was a pleasant working with Mimi, and I would highly recommend her if you would like to learn any new sewing skills as she has high level of textile experienced and is very knowledgeable.

Welcome to Sew Well Studio. I'm Mimi and Sew Well Studio is my passion project. My vision and mission is to create a wellness community using the craft of sewing, creating textile products and art.
My passion for sewing started in my first high school textiles class and since then, I have become a High School teacher, teaching Textiles and Food Technology. My other passions lie in educating, sustainable textiles, slow fashion, cooking and travelling.
To me, sewing has been an escape that allows me to express my creativity through a textiles medium. I enjoy the mindfulness that comes with sewing and the delayed gratification at the completion of my projects.
Through this passion project, I hope to share with you all, the mindfulness of this craft, for you to express your creativity and to also to compliment positively to your wellness.
Sew wellcome! (Making terrible puns and dad jokes are another hobby of mine). I hope you find something fun and meaningful to you here.
Love Mimi xx
