Punch needle brings together the best of embroidery and rug hooking in a fun and efficient way. And in this Sydney class, you can jump on board this fun trend and learn how to punch needle!
Absolutely no experience is necessary for the class, as this technique is easy to learn and quicker to finish than embroidery - many people have likened it to painting with yarn.
Choose one of three colour palettes that can be used in any of three designs and join Rebecca from Made By Me Workshop who will teach you how to stretch fabric onto a hoop, transfer a design to your fabric and how to use a punch needle to complete your chosen design.
If you're really keen to complete the entire set let us know and we will bring additional colour and fabric sets to the workshop for you.
Please indicate which colour yarn set you would like on booking. (Additional yarn and fabric sets can be purchased for $30 at the workshop, if you're interested please let us know beforehand so we can bring along extra sets)

The safety and wellbeing of our participants is our highest priority and we will do everything we can to ensure their safety during our workshops.
In light of the current COVID situation in NSW we have updated our COVID safe plan and have decided that for the time being we will only be admitting people to workshops who can demonstrate that they have been double vaccinated or have a legitimate medical exemption. We are also asking all participants to wear face masks that cover your nose & mouth inside the studio, we have disposable P2 masks on hand for all resin workshops that you are welcome to use but we will need you to wear your own mask when you enter the studio.
Workshops are kept to small groups with no person to person contact required. We will be taking extra precautions to ensure all work surfaces, equipment and supplies are cleaned and disinfected before and after every workshop and that sharing of equipment is avoided much as possible.

Thoroughly enjoyed this workshop and loved being able to link up from the other side of the country via Zoom! Rebecca is a fabulous teacher who not only knows her craft inside out, but explains it simply and uses the technology so well it feels like you're right there with her. Really fun morning! Thank you again :-)
I found this class incredibly enjoyable. Receiving the kit in the mail was also very exciting - especially with all the little treats! Punch needling (is that the verb?) was a lovely craft to learn - it’s very satisfying to see results so quickly. Rebecca was a great teacher, so easy to understand and helpful. I look forward to doing more of her classes in the future.

This course was lots of fun. Rebecca is a great teacher. Also very responsive and kudos for finding great alternatives to the products that didnt get shipped on time because of covid. My adjustable punch needle is great. Highly recommend this course if you want to learn punch needle!
LOVED the class. Rebecca made it extremely easy to navigate and learn, which isn’t easy over an internet platform! So happy with my new skill and what I achieved in a short 1.5hrs. I’ll definitely be exploring Needle Punch further now. Thanks Rebecca

Teaching craft to the uncrafty me via Zoom is challenging. Rebecca’s multiple camera angles really helped see what I needed to do. Pretty happy with what I achieved in the class time.

I’d been wanting to sign up for a class at the Tramsheds and was really excited to heave the opportunity to try things online. Rebecca made things easy to follow and discussed multiple options should I expand my explorations of punch needling.
