We’re Rhi and Mariano, the dance and life partners behind R&M Latin Dance, a Sydney-based Salsa and Bachata dance school built around one simple belief: dancing can change the way you feel, the people you meet, and the experiences you have in life!Our school attracts students in their 20s and 30s. Our journey with Latin dance started with a love for the music, the energy, and the incredible connections that happen when people dance together. It's magical to discover this new side of yourself.Today, we’re proud to have helped hundreds of people take their first steps into the world of Latin dance, with a community of 350+ students and 570+ five-star Google reviews celebrating the experiences we create.Why we love teaching -Our favourite part of teaching is watching the transformation that happens when someone who walks into their first class feeling nervous starts dancing with confidence, makes new friends, and realises they can do something they never thought possible!We know that starting something new can feel intimidating, especially if you’ve never danced before. That’s why our salsa and bachata classes are designed to help complete beginners feel comfortable, supported, and excited to learn. NO PARTNER NEEDED and no previous dance experience — just a willingness to give something new a go!We have a logical way to break down the movements, helping students understand how partner dancing works, and we love seeing those little lightbulb moments when everything finally clicks. Whether someone joins to learn a new skill, find a fun hobby, meet people, or feel more confident on the dance floor, we want every student to feel proud of how far they’ve come.More than just salsa and bachata classesAt R&M Latin Dance, we believe the best experiences happen when learning becomes part of something bigger. We include social mixers, dance parties with crazy fun themes, dance trips around Aus and to Europe, competitions, student shows and video projects! So there is always something to work towards if you find your dance goals evolving, and opportunities to keep growing as dancers!We’ve watched students arrive on their own and go on to build friendships (even marriages!!) and find their confidence, travel with fellow dancers, become housemates and become part of a community that extends well beyond the studio.For your first course, we accept BEGINNERS ONLY to ensure everyone progresses at the same pace. R&M Salsa and Bachata dance courses combine structured teaching with a fun, social atmosphere. Students learn partner dancing step by step while discovering the music, movement, and connection behind these exciting Latin dance styles.One of the things we love most is that everyone starts from the beginning. You don’t have to be naturally talented, outgoing, or experienced.
