My son loved this class. He found the guidance helpful and enjoyed the freedom to create what he felt inspired to create. The class was supportive and encouraging. He has continued to add to his comic book after the class.

Painting class
BUYER BEWARE - Rebel Stepz does not use accurate pictures to describe the class they are offering. Marketed towards adults, but content is suitable for primary school children.
I asked Class Bento for a refund based on this, and provided undeniable photographic evidence of such.
Class Bento replied "We have had a conversation with the teacher and they are at this point not willing to provide you with a refund as you had only attended for a short time. BUYER BEWARE! Rebel Stepz does not use accurate photo descriptions of their classes. I signed up for a watercolour painting class for adults which showed an acceptable level of expected artwork for a beginner adult in all of the photos. Within the first 20 minutes of the class the teacher had produced her first artwork which was at a level well below that of an adult. There was no watercolour painting tuition whatsoever. It was more of a "just slap paint on here, no need to stay in the lines" I'm saddened that I cannot post a photo review for thisBUYER BEWARE! Introduction to Mehndi: Henna Tattoos
I really enjoyed this virual class. Sheena is a lovely teacher and very patiently taught me how draw intricate designs and how to use henna to outline them. I found this class theraputic and fun. Can't wait to try out more henna-ing in own time using the techniques I've learnt.

My Mum and I did this class together and it was a fun experience. The teacher was very nice, friendly and engaging, although we both decided to do a different picture than her example. Something my Mum thinks that could have slightly improved our experience was telling the class beforehand what we would be painting. Other than that though, it was great! Thank you. (:

Make Clay Magnets at Home
Make Clay Magnets at Home is a good introduction to using air-dry clay. We also learnt how to add magnets and paint our pieces. It is an excellent class for beginners.
During the 90 minute session, you will learn how to make multiple different magnets, and be taught different techniques to make each of them.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the class. It was very interactive, fun and therapeutic at the same time. Sheena was a fantastic teacher and was very good with guiding us through each activity. This was such a fun and relaxed way to bond with the team in Australia and abroad, especially during lockdown in Sydney! The different drawing activities were so unique and there was no pressure at all to be the best. Felt super refreshed afterwards, would definitely do this one again!

Sadly a mixed review here. I can say that my daughter enjoyed learning the style of Graffiti and enjoyed learning a new style of drawing. Sadly, Rebel Stepz subsequently cancelled our next two classes that we had booked with her for our daughter (one of which, Rebel Stepz specifically encouraged us to book with her), both to learn new drawing styles, both at short notice (on the days they were booked on, one being only one hour before the planned class time). This caused a lot of stress and upset and also disappointment for our daughter.

Sheena delves into worlds that are language rich as well as auditory and visually pleasing. It is possible to explore ideas and have minds transported away from our everyday. I was inspired to turn to DH Lawrence's short story "Sun" where in its opening it is written,"She leaned on the rail, and looking down thought: This is the sea; it is deeper than one imagines,and fuller of memories. At that moment the sea seemed seemed to heave like the serpent of chaos that has lived forever." [Lawrence}
As well, her stream of consciousness exercise freesSheena delves into worlds that are language rich as well as auditory and visually pleasing. Loved it! I found it really managable to get done within the time and really enjoyed Beray’s teaching, encouraging whimsicalness, showing some ‘cartoon style’ examples from other artists and how it can make topics we care about very inviting for others to explore by looking at our art. I am excited to keep playing. Enjoyed feeling connected to others during lockdown.
