Plastic isn’t a material often associated with beauty or design, but this workshop shows just how valuable this overlooked waste resource can be. Led by circular economy innovators Precious Plastic Melbourne, you’ll learn how to turn plastic trash into a take-home mini plant pot.

Australia produces 2.5 million tonnes of plastic waste each year, which equates to 100kg per person, according to the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment. If we’re to tackle this alarming issue, we must get creative with our thinking.

This hands-on workshop presents an optimistic answer to our plastic problem. From shredding, colour selection and blending through to moulding and hand-finishing, you'll be shown firsthand how to repurpose and reuse plastic.

Along with a newfound appreciation for waste, you’ll take home your own mini succulent plant pot.

So, whether you're looking for team building activities or eco-friendly Christmas presents, join this sustainable pot plant making class this weekend.
